Benazir won’t be given any more time: ACC lawyer

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed will not be given any more time to appear before the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for questioning regarding allegations of amassing illegal wealth.

The ACC has fixed June 23 for questioning the former IGP at the commission office, and he has to appear on that time.

ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam said this while talking to journalists on the Supreme Court premises in Dhaka on Thursday.

Khurshid Alam noted that investigations against former IGP Benazir Ahmed and his family members concerning a substantial amount of assets beyond their known income are progressing in a full swing.
