First hajj flight returns to Dhaka with 417 pilgrims

The first Hajj return flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying 417 pilgrims arrived in Dhaka at 6am on Friday (June 21).

The flight departed for Bangladesh from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia at 8:30pm.

According to the Hajj management portal, a total of 85,252 pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year under public and private management. Among them, 4,562 people are in government management and 80,695 people are in private management. They reached Saudi Arabia by a total of 218 flights from Bangladesh.

30 Bangladeshis died while performing Hajj this year. Among them 24 are male and six are female.
