Bangladesh to get 3rd tranche of loan as IMF meeting today

The proposal to release the third installment of the loan in favour of Bangladesh will be presented today, Monday (June 24) at the meeting of the Executive Council of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The money will be released in next one to two days if it gets final approval. If this money is received, the country’s foreign exchange reserves will increase a bit. The flow of dollars in the market will increase slightly.

The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the IMF in Washington, the capital of the United States, at 9:30 PM today, Bangladesh time. The IMF mission that visited Bangladesh had earlier informed that the proposal could be approved in that meeting.

According to sources, the third installment of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) $4.7 billion loan will be approved today.
