MP Anar murder: 10-day remand prayer sought for Mostafiz, Faisal

The Detective Branch (DB) of police has filed an application seeking a 10-day remand for Mostafizur Rahman and Faisal Ali arrested in a case filed over the abduction of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar for murder.

Detective Branch Assistant Police Commissioner Mahfuzur Rahman, also the investigation officer of the case, filed the plea on Thursday (June 27).

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah will hold hearing in the case.

Earlier, Mostafiz and Faisal were arrested during a drive led by DB Additional Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, which was conducted in the remote hilly area of Ramgarh Upazila of Khagrachari district yesterday.
