MP Anar murder: Mostafiz, Faisal put on 6-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed Mostafizur Rahman and Faisal Bhuiyan on six-day remand in a case filed over the abduction of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar for murder.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah passed the order after hearing in the case on Thursday (June 27).

Earlier, Detective Branch Assistant Police Commissioner Mahfuzur Rahman, also the investigation officer of the case, produced the accused before the court with 10-day remand prayer.

On Wednesday last, Mostafiz and Faisal were arrested during a drive led by DB Additional Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, which was conducted in the remote hilly area of Ramgarh Upazila of Khagrachari district.
