Court orders to freeze 87 bank accounts of Faisal, his relatives

A Dhaka court has directed to freeze 87 bank accounts of National Board of Revenue (NBR)’s first secretary Kazi Abu Mahmud Faisal, his wife and other 13 relatives.
About Tk 6.96 crore has been deposited in the bank accounts.
Besides, the court has ordered to seize savings certificates worth Tk 2,55crore in the names of seven persons including Faisal.
The court also ordered to confiscate all movable properties of four persons including his wife.
ACC Assistant Director Aminul Islam confirmed the news.
According to ACC sources, NBR's first secretary Kazi Abu Mahmud Faisal has become an owner of huge wealth through bribe and corruption. The ACC is investigating it.
