Dhaka ranks 6th least liveable city in world

Dhaka ranked 6th in the latest list of least livable cities in the world, according to the Global Liveability Index 2024 published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

Vienna, Copenhagen, Zurich, Melbourne, and Calgary were placed at the top while the five least liveable cities on the list were Damascus, Tripoli, Algiers, Lagos, and Karachi.

Dhaka slipped two notches from its 2023 ranking in the Global Liveability Index 2024 report.

The Bangladesh capital ranked 168th in the list with 43.0 score, one place above Pakistan's Karachi.

Hong Kong is the biggest climber this year, rising by 10 places.
