ACC fails to enter Benazir’s four flats in Gulshan

A Dhaka court appointed a first-class magistrate as an administration to look after four confiscated flats of the former IGP Benazir Ahmed. However, the ACC officials today (June 30) failed to enter the flats due to lack of keys.

Judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order on Sunday (June 30) accepting a petition filed by ACC.

The anti-graft body's Public Prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir confirmed the matter.

Sources said ACC Director (Property Management Unit) Md Monjur Morshed filed a petition to look after four confiscated flats of the accused. Later, the court appointed a first-class magistrate after hearing.

It is known that Monjur Morshed along with some ACC officials went to visit the flats and talked to the building's receptionist Meherab Hossain. The receptionist informed them that the flats' owners did not live there, and he did not know their whereabouts. The owners even took the keys of the flats with them. Even, they could not contact the building manager Jasim.
