Time to be extended if rain hampers HSC exams

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations commenced in Chattogram on Sunday, despite challenging weather conditions.

Considering the overall sufferings of the examinees, Dhaka secondary and higher secondary education board issued some directions on Sunday (June 30).

A notification signed by Dhaka Education Board controller professor Md Abul Bashar said that according to the sources of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the next few days.

If there is rain on the examination days, the main gate of the center should be opened before the specified time to allow the examinees to enter the center.

The notification also said that if there is a delay of half an hour or an hour in starting the examination of a center due to unavoidable reasons, it is requested to take necessary measures to complete the examination by adjusting the time of that half hour or one hour following the emergency situation.
