Govt to adjust LPG price today

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission is scheduled to announce a new price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on Tuesday (April 2).

According to a notification of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), the instructions of BERC will be announced at 3 pm regarding the price adjustment of private LPG at the consumer level for this month following the Saudi Aramco’s contract price for July (2024).

Earlier, after 8 consecutive months of increase, LPG prices were reduced at the consumer level on April 3.

BERC at a press briefing said that the price for a standard 12kg LPG cylinder will now be Tk 1442, down by Tk 40 from the previous price of Tk 1,482. Compared to the month of March, the price of 12 kg cylinder was reduced by Tk 40 to Tk 1,442 in April.
