Justice Jahangir Hossain suddenly fell ill at court

Justice Jahangir Hossain Salim was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as he suddenly fell ill in the courtroom of the Appellate Division during a trial on Wednesday (July 3).

Sources said that a trial proceeding started in the appeal bench of four judges headed by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan at 9:15 am. During the trial, Justice Jahangir Hossain suddenly fell sick around 9:45am. Meanwhile, the Chief Justice and other judges of the bench left the proceedings adjourned and went into private chambers.

Later, the Justice Jahangir Hossain was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital. And he is now undergoing treatment there.
