Petition seeks withdrawal of 3 accused’s confessional statements

Three accused in a case filed over the abduction of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar for murder have filed an application seeking withdrawal of their confessional statements.

Three accused are Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary of Jhenaidah AL Kazi Kamal Ahmed alias Gas Babu, Shimul Bhuiyan, and Tanvir Bhuiyan.

Hearing was held in this regard in the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque on Thursday (July 4). The accused were produced before the court at that time.

Earlier, the three accused confessed to their crimes in MP Anar murder case.
