Court orders to seize customs commissioner’s assets worth Tk 9cr 

A Dhaka court has ordered the authorities concerned to seize Customs Official Mohammad Enamul Haque’s assets worth Tk nine crore.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order on Thursday to seize lands and flats worth Tk 8.95 crore belonging to Mohammad Enamul Huque, Commissioner of Sylhet Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate.

ACC Public Prosecutor Mosharraf Hossain Kajol confirmed the matter.

ACC Deputy Director Farzana Yeasmin filed the petition to seize the assets.

During its probe, the ACC learned that the accused was trying to sell or hand over the properties bought by money earned through corruption.
