Dinajpur road crash: Death toll rises to 6

One more person died in a bus-truck collision on the Dinajpur-Fulbari highway in Chakrampur area of Dinajpur on Friday (July 5), taking the death toll in the incident to six.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Earlier, the accident took place in front of Arian Patrol pump around 6:00am.

Local and police sources said a coach of Nabil Paribahan collided head-on with a mango-laden truck at Chakrampur village in the morning, leaving truck driver and helper dead on the spot. Meanwhile, 28 more people received injuries.

Later, four more died under treatment at M Abdur Rahim medical college hospital.

Confirming the matter, Dinajpur Katwali police station Officer-in-Charge Md Farid Hossain said that the bus was taken to police station after the accident.
