PM set to visit China Monday

After long 10 years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to China on Monday (July 8) on a four-day state visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

Key issues such as trade and security will be given priority during the PM’s visit to China.

During the visit, President Xi Jinping will meet with Prime Minister Hasina. Premier Li Qiang will hold a welcoming ceremony and have talks with her. It is to be noted that the two heads of government will attend the signing ceremony of cooperation documents.

According to diplomatic sources, leaders of the two countries will have an in-depth exchange of views on how to deepen traditional friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation and on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Hasina will also attend the summit on trade, business and investment opportunities between China and Bangladesh.
