Students block Dhaka`s Science Lab intersection

The students of Dhaka Colleges have blocked Science Lab intersection area in protest of the reinstatement of the quota system in the government jobs. As a result, the heavy traffic jam has been created on Mirpur Road.

The agitated protesters blocked the road around 1:40 pm on Sunday (July 7). Meanwhile, they chanted various types of slogans.

Nazmul Hasan, a student of history department of Dhaka College said children of ordinary families like us are coming to Dhaka to study with great difficulty. Quota system is the biggest barrier to entry into government jobs now. Many talented students are not getting jobs despite getting high marks.

Another student named Delwar Hossain said that they are doing the movement to save the talented youths.
