Protesters block Shahbagh intersection

The protesters are observing “Bangla Blockade” program at Shahbagh intersection as per their previous announcement.

They started their protest program around 3:45 pm in the area on Sunday (July 7). As a result, the traffic movement was halted through the vital intersection of the city, creating huge traffic congestion there.

At one stage, the students also blocked Hotel Intercontinental instersection after blocking Shahbagh-Chankarpur area.

Earlier, the students started gathering on DU central library premises around 3:00 pm. Later, the protesters blocked four roads gradually in Shahbagh intersection. Meanwhile, students from Sufia Kamal Hall, Amar Ekushe Hall, Shahidullah Hall joined the procession.
