Five Bangladeshis killed in Dubai road crash

At least five Bangladeshi nationals were killed in a road accident in Dubai city on Sunday morning (July 7).

The deceased were known as Md Rana, 30, son of Lutfar Rahman, Rashed, 32, son of Abdul Hakim, Razu, 24, son of Sheikh Irshad, Ibadul Islam, 34, son of Sheikh Ibrahim, and Hira Mia, 22, son of Manzur.

The accident took place around 10:30 am (Bangladesh time).

Sources said the victims were dwellers of Nababganj and Dohar of Dhaka. They lived in Ajman state of Emirates. They were heading towards Abu Dhabi to their work station. But, the vehicle carrying them exploded on the road, leaving them dead on the spot.

Jamal Hossain, Consul General, Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai confirmed the matter.
