JU students block Dhaka-Aricha Highway

Students of Jahangirnagar University have blocked again the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in protest of the reinstatement of the quota system in government jobs.

They brought out a protest rally from the central library around 10:00am on Wednesday (July 10). Later, they took position on Dhaka-Aricha highway.

Meanwhile, the protesters chanted several kinds of slogans. The protesting students plan to continue the blockade till sundown.

The agitated students said that if the hearing of the Appellate Division doesn’t go in favour of the students, they will call tough movement.

Following the blockade, huge traffic jam was created on the both sides of the highway.
