As part of countrywide Bangla Blockade programme, quota protestors put up barricades on several rail crossing in the capital on Wednesday.
Students blocked the Karwan Bazar level crossing by placing logs around 11:00 am, causing immense sufferings to commuters.
As a result, train communications between Dhaka and other parts of the country were suspended.
At that time no train left the Dhaka station and no train entered the Dhaka city. Dhaka-bound trains waited at Joydebpur and Bimanbandar stations for 3-4 hours.
The rail communications resumed at around 5:05pm when students ended their today’s blockade programme.
