Court orders to confiscate Matiur’s 4 flats, land, freeze 116 accounts

A Dhaka court has ordered to confiscate four flats and 2367 shotoks of land belonging to Matiur Rahman, the former president of the National Board of Revenue's (NBR) Customs, Excise, and VAT Appellate Tribunal.
The court has also ordered to freeze 116 bank accounts, which have Tk 13,44,36, 471, and 23 BO accounts.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad As-Shams Jaglul Hossain passed the order on Thursday, following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
ACC Deputy Director Anowar Hossain sought the order.
Court inspector Amir Hossain confirmed the news.
