Dhaka residents wake up to rain on Friday morning

Some areas of Dhaka experienced rainfall while surrounding areas have been cloudy since the morning.

The Meteorological Department, said monsoon is active. As a result, rain with thunder is likely to occur across the country on Friday. There may be heavy rain in some places.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday said, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over eight divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country”, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am Friday.
