Security guard Shahadat become owner of Tk12cr by leaking PSC question leak

Security guard Shahadat earned a huge amount of wealth worth at least Tk12cr in 12 years by leaking question papers of various recruitment tests under the Public Service Commission (PSC).

It is known that Shahadat Hossain is working as a security guard at Narayanganj Passport Office. He gets salary 12,000 taka per month. He built a house in Mirpur area in the capital. Besides, he has three-bigha sized fruit orchard in his village. Among his other assets were – five bigha land, eight decimal land in Sardarpara of Singra town. The worth of these property is around Tk12 crore.

Minhaz Uddin, chairman of Tazpur union parishad said that a security guard earns a salary of Tk12,000. How is it possible to own 10-12 crores with this money? We also came to know that his daughter got a job in passport office recently. We demand exemplary punishment for all those who have done the most heinous act of leaking questions.

When this reporter visited Shahadat’s native village today (July 12), he didn’t find any relatives of him there.

Hanif Ali, a cousin of Shahadat, said no family members of him live here. They live in their own house in Mirpur, Dhaka. They only came here during Eid vacation. I take care of their house and fruit orchard.

Sobhan, a dweller of Kadirgachha area said that Shahadat got a job by a former secretary in 2002. However, no one knows details about his job.

Rezaul, a neighbor said that Shahadat popularly known as Shaken Bhai, is a good person. Recently he bought four Bigha land from us.

Jamal Uddin, another neighbor said Shahadat was well-known as a good guy. It gives us pain that he was involved with the question leak.
