About 12 thousand students did not get a chance for admission in any college although the third and last stage of admission to Class XI has passed this year. Among them, 700 students got GPA-5.
Such information was found after analyzing the results of the last stage of college admission that the Inter-Education Board published on its website at 8 pm on Friday (July 12).
Chairman of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of Dhaka Education Board Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed the news.
According to the admission policy, the application was supposed to be taken in three stages. More than 12,000 students did not get any college for admission even at the end of those three stages. Among them, there are 700 students who got GPA-5 in SSC, he said.
When asked what decision will be taken for them, Tapan Kumar said, “It is not possible to say in a single decision. A decision will be taken in this regard subject to discussion. We do not want any student to remain out of admission.”
