DU to decide on closure today

Dhaka University (DU) authorities will sit in an emergency meeting on Wednesday to take a decision about postponement of academic activities amid ongoing anti-quota movement.
Professor Dr Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Pro Vice-Chancellor (academic) of the institution confirmed the matter on Tuesday night (July 16).
He said that whether the university or the dormitory will be closed, can be known after the emergency syndicate meeting on Wednesday. Till then, all resident teachers will remain alert to ensure everyone's safe stay.
Earlier on Tuesday night, the University Grants Commission tonight said all public and private universities, its affiliated medical colleges and others institutions, will remain closed until further notice.
