Students leaving DU residential halls

Students began leaving the residential halls of the Dhaka University after 5:30pm on Wednesday.
There is an allegation that students are being forced to leave the halls.
Police fired a few rounds of rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades to disperse a coffin rally of quota protesters in the afternoon.
Quota protesters held a gaibana namaz-e-janaza, a funeral prayer, in absentia for quota reform movement victims on the VC Chattar.
At that time six coffins covered with national flags were kept in front of them.
After the gayebana namaz-e-janaza, quota protesters brought a procession with the coffins at 4:10pm. Protesters overcame a police barricade and began slogan.
A chase and counter chase between police and students was held.
At one stage, police allegedly fired a few rounds of rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades to disperse the procession in front of the Ruqayyah Hall.
A few journalists covering the developments were injured.
