`Complete shutdown`
Metro rail to run as usual
Desk Report || risingbd.com
Quota reform protesters have called for a 'complete shutdown' across the country. Although they didn’t say anything clearly regarding the metro rail but all types of communication including road, rail and naval routes would remain shut.
However, ambulance and other emergency services will remain out of the purview of the ‘complete shutdown’ program.
Mohammad Abdur Rauf, Company Secretary of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited said that our decision is to run the metro rail. Time will say the rest.
Earlier on Wednesday night (July 17), the students demanding quota reformation announced a nationwide ‘complete shutdown’ for Thursday (July 18).
