Rail communication between Dhaka, rest of Bangladesh halted

Dhaka’s rail communications with other parts of the country have been suspended as quota protesters put up barricade on Mohakhali and Nakhalpara rail lines in the capital.

Md Anwar Hossain, station master at Kamalapur railway station confirmed the matter on Thursday noon (July 18).

Earlier on Wednesday night (July 17), the students demanding quota reformation announced a nationwide ‘complete shutdown’ for Thursday (July 18).
