The ‘Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’ – a platform of students taking part in the protests against the quotas in government jobs –expressed its views on the ongoing movement demanding quota reform after Law Minister Anisul Haq’s proposal for a discussion on behalf of the government.
Sarjis Alam, one of the key coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, shared the views with the media after Law Minister Anisul Haq’s proposal for a discussion on Thursday (July 18) noon.
He said, “They were holding internal discussions on their course of action.”
The government had agreed to hold discussions with the protesting students, the law minister said at an emergency press briefing on the parliament premises.
