Broadband internet connection restored in Bangladesh

Broadband internet connections were restored on a limited scale on Tuesday night (July 23) after five days of complete countrywide blackout.

However, the internet users are facing trouble to use couple of social networking sites like Facebook, whatsapp.

Earlier, 4G mobile service, mobile internet connections were shut amid the violence over quota protest.

The digital lifestyle of people was disrupted due to internet shutdown. All types of online financial activities were shut.

Software exporting organization BASIS president Rasel T Ahmed said that around Tk400 crore has been lost per day due to the lack of internet connection.
