Restoration of internet service at residences by tonight

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, said broadband internet connections will be restored at residences by tonight.

He made the comment at a press conference at the office of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in Dhaka on Wednesday (July 24).

The state minister said internet services are disrupted due to the damages in a fire caused by miscreants. In this situation, we were working to restore the internet system as soon as possible. Broadband internet service will be fully available at residences from tonight.

Earlier today, Md Emdadul Hoque, president of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), said broadband internet connections are likely to be restored at residences by tonight.

Mentionable, broadband internet connections were restored on a limited scale on Tuesday night after 5 days of complete countrywide blackout amid the violence over quota reform protest.
