2536 arrested in 207 cases

Police have arrested 2536 people in the capital Dhaka in 207 cases in connection with unrest centering students’ demonstrations for reform in government job quotas.

Md Faruk Hossain, DC (Media and Public Relations) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said this on Saturday (July 26).

They were arrested from different parts of the capital, seeing the video footages.
