Quota reform movement: 2 more coordinators in DB custody

The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) took two more coordinators of the quota reform movement into their custody.

They were taken into DB custody on Saturday (July 27) evening.

The two coordinators are Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)’s additional commissioner (DB chief) Mohammad Harun-ar-Rashid confirmed the information to media.

He said they have been taken into custody considering their security issue.

Earlier, three coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, including Nahid Islam, had been taken into custody for their safety.

DB officials took Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud and Abu Baker Majumder into their custody from the capital’s Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital on Friday (July 26) afternoon.
