Mobile internet service resumes at 3pm: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said mobile internet will be restored across the country around 3:00pm today after almost 10 days of outage.

He disclosed the information at a briefing after meeting with mobile operators at BTRC Bhaban in the capital on Sunday (July 28) morning.

“4G internet service will be restored today. After the restoration of 4G service, 5G internet service will also be restored in later period,” Palak said.

He also announced that 5GB internet will be given for free for all users for three days after connection is restored.

The government shut down mobile internet on July 17 and broadband internet connection on July 18 amid violence centering the quota reform movement.
