Mobile internet restored after 10 days of outage

Mobile internet (4G) has been restored across the country after almost 10 days of outage.

It is reported that mobile users can use the internet on their mobile phones around 3:00 pm today, Sunday (July 28).

Earlier today, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said mobile internet will be restored across the country around 3:00pm today.

He disclosed the information at a briefing after meeting with mobile operators at BTRC Bhaban in the capital this morning.

Palak also announced that 5GB internet will be given for free for all users for three days after connection is restored.

The government shut down mobile internet on July 17 and broadband internet connection on July 18 amid violence centering the quota reform movement.
