Chhatra Dal leader led attack on Metrorail: DB

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Cyber and Special Crime (South) arrested four people including Chhatra Dal leader for the attack on Mirpur-10 and Kazipara metro rail stations during the quota report movement.

DB chief, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Harunor Rashid revealed the information in a press conference at DB office in the capital’s minto road on Sunday noon (July 28).

He said that BNP-Jamaat terrorists used students to attack and vandalize government buildings in different areas of the capital in the quota reform movement. Specially they set fire on our Metrorail, Setu Bhaban.

Abu Hannan, Central leader of Chhatra Dal was the mastermind and leader of the metro station attack, he said.

Hannan and his associates set fire to the metro station under the direction of BNP leaders Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Saiful Islam Nirov, he added.
