Bangladesh received $150cr remittances in last 24 days

Expatriate Bangladeshis have sent home $150 crore in remittances in the first 24 days of July, the central bank says.
$142.2 crore arrived in the first 18 days. The country received $7.80 crore in six days from 19 to 24 July.
Earlier, expatriates sent home $254 crore in June last.
According to Bangladesh Bank's latest report on expatriate income, the banking activities took place for only one day from July 19 to 24. The government issued curfew from Friday night on July 19 to control the situation centering quota reform movement. After that, banks were closed until Tuesday. Online transactions of the banks were also closed due to lack of internet connection.
