Milky murder case: Trial still pending after 11 years

Trial in the Jubo League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky murder case has not been completed yet though eleven years have already elapsed since the sensational incident.

Rashedul Haque Khan, younger brother of the victim filed the murder case on July 29, 2013. However, trial process is going on. No one knows when the case will end.

The state party hopes that the trial of the sensational murder case will be completed this year.

The 5th Additional Sessions Judge of Dhaka framed charges against 18 people on November 8, 2018. Then, only four of the 75 witnesses testified in the case.

On March 21, 2022, the Law Ministry ordered the transfer of the case to Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-2 of Judge Jasmin Ara Begum for quick disposal.

On July 29, 2013, Riazul Haque Khan Milki was shot dead in front of a shopping mall named Gulshan-1 Shoppers World centering political disputes, extortion.
