2822 people arrested in Dhaka: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 2,822 people, till Monday morning, in 243 cases filed with different police stations in the capital over the violence during the recent Quota Reform Movement.

DMP media and public relations department confirmed the matter on Monday (July 29).

Police are identifying and arresting those involved in the acts of violence based on detective information and CCTV footage analyses. As part of this, 243 cases of violence have been filed so far, according to the DMP.
