Curfew relaxed for 13 hours from Wednesday

The government has announced a relaxation of the ongoing nationwide curfew from 7 am to 8 pm for four days starting from Wednesday (July 31).
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan announced this at a press briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday (July 30).
Earlier, seven ministers and state ministers held a meeting on several issues including a ban on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir and quota reform movement situation.
The meeting started at around 3:20pm in the conference room of home ministry.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Law Minister Anisul Huq, Industries Minister Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humayun, Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, State Minister for Information and Broadcast Mohammad Ali Arafat, State Minister for Labour and Employment Md Nazrul Islam and State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak participated in the meeting.
Top officials of law enforcing agencies were also present.
