AB Party leader Manju placed on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has granted five-day remand to Mojibur Rahman Manju, member secretary of Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party, in a subversion case filed with Dhanmondi Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order on Wednesday (July 31) as police produced Manju before the court with a seven-day remand.
On July 21, Sub-inspector (SI) Md Kamrul Islam of Dhanmondi Police Station filed the case against around 300-400 people.
Earlier, on Tuesday (July 30), the Detective Branch (DB) of police picked up the Manju from his relative’s home in Mirpur DOHS area and later showed arrested in the case.
