The price of fuel oil in the country is automatically adjusted every month following the international market, but that is not going to happen this month. So, the prices of diesel, kerosine, octane and patrol will remain unchanged.
Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin, the Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, revealed the information on Thursday (August 1).
He said that the price of fuel oil in the country's market will remain unchanged in August.
There was a possibility of an increase in the price of oil in the country this month due to the price hike in international market. However, due to the ongoing situation in the country, the government did not want to take the risk of price hike.
Previously, during the price adjustment for July, the prices of diesel and kerosene were decreased by Tk1 per litre from Tk107.75 to Tk106.75.
