Quader directs not to arrest, harass students

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has directed the law enforcing agencies not to arrest and harass general students.
The Awami League general secretary speaking at a press conference at the party President’s political office at Dhanmondi in the city on Friday noon.
The concerned ministry is working to free the HSC examinees among those detained.
As the main demands of the students have been met, I hope they will now go back home for the sake of bringing back a fair environment for education, he said.
He added that the scope of judicial inquiry commissions has been expanded to ensure proper investigation of each murder.
Three judges have been given the responsibility. If the United Nations or any country or organisation wishes to join the investigation, they are welcome to do so, and the government will welcome them.
