Police, quota protesters clash in Habiganj, youth killed

Quota protesters and police clashed in Habiganj town after Jumma prayer on Friday.
A youth named Mostak Mia, 30, received bullet and died. He was an employee of a construction farm ‘Power Development Board’.
Residential medical officer of Habiganj Sadar Hospital Momin Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter. Mostak hailed from Tukerbazar of Sylhet city.
Additional Police Super of Habiganj Sadar Circle Khalilur Rahman also confirmed the death.
He also said police used 2000 rounds of tear shell and rubber bullets to disparate the protesters.
