Thousands of protesters march towards Shaheed Minar

Thousands of protesters are marching towards the Central Shaheed Minar as part of the previously announced programme.

Students from Dhaka College, City College, and Dhanmondi Ideal College blocked the Science Lab intersection and then began their procession towards the Shaheed Minar after 2:30pm on Saturday, chanting slogans to support their demands.

The demonstration aims to protest the attacks, killings, and violence against student and citizen movements across the country and to press for their nine-point demand.

Earlier, on Friday night, Asif Mahmud, one of the Coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement, through a Facebook post urged all to gather in front of Central Shaheed Minar in the capital at 3pm  on Saturday (August 3).
