The Bangladesh Railway has suspended the operations of all kinds of trains, including passenger and freight ones, for Sunday (August 4) due to a non-cooperation movement announced by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, a platform for quota protest.
The authorities took the decision at a time when the Anti-discrimination Student Movement is going to launch a non-cooperation movement from today.
Nahid Hasan Khan, who is tasked with public relations at the railway, confirmed the news.
On August 1, operations of passenger trains on a limited scale resumed after the services remained suspended for two weeks following the violence centring the quota reform movement.
