The Bangladesh Railway (BR) has suspended operations of all kinds of trains for an indefinite period due to the current situation centring the quota reform movement and imposition of a curfew in the country.
BR Director (Public Relations) Md Nahid Hasan Khan confirmed the matter through a text message on Sunday (August 4) night.
He said the train services will remain suspended temporarily until further notice.
On August 1, operations of passenger trains on a limited scale resumed after the services remained suspended for two weeks following the violence centring the quota reform movement.
