Shahjalal International Airport shut down

The authorities have announced the shutdown of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport following the collapse of the Awami League government.

The airport Director Group Captain Kamrul Islam confirmed the information.

He said all flights have been suspended since 4:45pm on Monday.

Kamrul said that there is no instruction yet regarding the resumption of flights. “We will inform as soon as any instructions are received.”

On Monday afternoon, Sheikh Hasina submitted her resignation to the president and left the country.
