Newly appointed IGP meets President

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh Police, M Mainul Islam, has met President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

President’s press wing confirmed the matter on Wednesday noon (August 7).

Earlier, with an order of President Mohammed Shahabuddin, a gazette notification in this regard was issued from the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday night.

Prior to this, the contact of IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was cancelled and released him from his post, another gazette notification said.
