Directive to form security committees in every police station area

The Police Headquarters has instructed all district police superintendents and officers-in-charge (OC) to form security committees comprising local citizens in every police station area.

A press release signed by AIG Enamul Haque Sagar was issued in this regard on Saturday.

The committees will include respected local figures, such as retired police and military officers, senior citizens, political leaders, human rights activists, and NGO representatives.

The primary goal of these committees will be to develop an action plan to monitor and evaluate law enforcement efforts, according to the press release.
